Cocktail Go Where is a short list of the cocktail bars we think are worth your evening, across twelve cities in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. It is written in English for people who live here, people who are moving here and people passing through for a few nights.
A bar makes the list when the drinks are the reason to go. That covers bartender-led rooms, hidden speakeasies, hotel bars with serious programmes, rooftops that take their menu as seriously as their view, and specialists in agave, gin, whisky or rum. Clubs, pubs, beer bars and restaurants with a token cocktail menu stay off it.
We research every bar from its own website, booking page and social channels, alongside recent coverage from trusted guides and the Asia's 50 Best Bars lists. A bar only goes live once we can confirm it is trading now. Hours, prices and happy-hour deals come straight from the bar's own channels; each page notes when we last reviewed it, and closed bars come off the list.
