Bar Bon Funk

Bar Bon Funk is on the second floor of New Bahru, the creative hub on Kim Yam Road in River Valley, and is part of the Le Bon Funk family. The Urbanlist describes it as a hi-fi cocktail lounge with a warm atmosphere, where music is given as much care as the drinks.

Head bartender Josiah Chee has almost a decade of experience at Jigger & Pony, 28 HongKong Street and Employees Only. The menu rotates every three to six months, with eight classics and eight signatures inspired by Sunday-morning staples. Recent examples include A Glass of Milk (Avallen Calvados, Le Gin Pira and strawberry honey, S$26) and Lean Green Salad, with clarified miso and caramelised honey avocado foam (S$28).

Bar Bon Funk was No. 90 on Asia's 50 Best Bars' 2026 extended list. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm until late. A relaxed neighbourhood choice for creative drinks and good sound.
