Gaudí Room is the hidden cocktail bar inside Carlitos, the Spanish tapas bar on Joo Chiat Road created by chefs Carlos Montobbio (Esquina) and Antonio Miscellaneo (Casa Vostra, La Bottega Enoteca). It opened to mark Carlitos' first anniversary and seats around 18 to 23 guests.
The design takes its cue from Antoni Gaudí, with mosaic tables, butterfly lattice woodwork and curved walls. Cocktails carry a Spanish accent: the Margarita de la Vera mixes tequila and lime with smoked paprika water, La Sagrada Paloma blends tequila, gin and Aperol, and The Smoking Architect is a take on the Old Fashioned. Time Out lists prices from S$22 to S$26.
The bar opens Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm to midnight. Pair it with tapas at Carlitos first for an easy East Coast evening. Contact Carlitos by email or WhatsApp to plan a visit.
Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
