Side Door is run by bartender Bannie Kang and chef Tryson Quek, who both worked at Anti:dote and co-founded Mu in Taiwan. The 40-seat space at 3 Neil Road grew out of a private dining concept in their home, and it still feels more like a living room than a bar; the entrance is on the side, not the five-foot way.
Signatures include the Green Door (Tanqueray No. 10, green Chartreuse, cucumber and lime) and the TNT, a Don Julio Blanco drink with tomato-wasabi and jasmine served with a maguro and bonito jelly pairing. Food runs from beef tartare with smoked yuzu sorbet to fried spring chicken and an upgraded instant ramen with prawns and scallops.
Side Door made an impressive debut at No. 53 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2025 and was No. 57 in 2026. It opens Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm, and reservations are taken via Oddle. Great for dinner-and-drinks dates.
Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
