The Elephant Room is run by Yugnes (Yugi) Susela, former head bartender of Smoke & Mirrors, and describes itself as a culture-forward cocktail bar inspired by Singapore's Little India. It now sits on Tanjong Pagar Road, where it has become a fixture of the strip.

Every drink starts from a Little India story and works it into ingredients, flavour, texture and temperature. The latest menu, launched in April 2026 and styled like an Indian wedding card, has 17 new or reworked drinks, including All-Star and Buffalo Road. Time Out found the spice and Indian references lighter and more refined than before, making it the bar's most approachable list yet.

The bar was No. 65 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 51–100 list in 2024 and No. 58 on the 2026 extended list. Walk-ins are welcome, with reservations via OpenTable recommended at peak times. Happy hour runs from 6 to 7.30pm, and the bar is closed on Mondays.

Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
