The Dead Poets Society Bar sits on the 60th floor of UOB Plaza 1 at Raffles Place, attached to Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant, with a wide view over the city skyline. Getting there takes two lifts and an escalator, which keeps it feeling like a hideaway. Founded by entrepreneur James Liu, it opened in late 2025 with a theme borrowed from the 1989 film.
Since a rebrand by the Pour Decisions duo, the menu has turned local, with each cocktail drawn from a work of Singapore literature. Comfortably Numb answers Catherine Lim's Little Ironies with chilli-infused mezcal, garlic vodka, hua diao and sesame oil, while the Drift highball pairs umeshu with kaffir lime after a Cyril Wong poem. New drinks arrive as the team works through its reading list, and plays may be next.
Every cocktail is S$23, and bar bites such as crispy whitebait come from the Si Chuan Dou Hua kitchen next door. A good pick for visitors who want a different take on the Singapore story, or for a skyline drink after work in the CBD.
Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
