Southbank Café + Lounge opened in 2019 at Westgate Center in Alabang as a Melbourne-inspired café and lounge, and has since added branches at Estancia in Pasig (2022) and on 5th Avenue in BGC (2024). It runs from breakfast to late, with house-blend espresso by day and a cocktail-led lounge at night.
The drinks list runs to around 36 cocktails using modern techniques, with signatures such as the Banana Hypeball, a mojito with orange blossom and patchouli, and the savoury Ramen Not Ramen. Chef Martin Espiritu's menu covers all-day breakfasts, hearty mains and sharing plates. The same team opened Problem Child in Makati in 2025.
Southbank was No.82 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 51–100 list in 2024, and the group appears in Tatler's Best 20 Bars Philippines 2026. A relaxed choice for southern Metro Manila, equally good for brunch or a late cocktail.
