Chez Chez

Run by founding couple Felix Schumacher and Cheryl Phang, Chez Chez is a cosy, intimate cocktail bar that moved to its current home on Lebuh Noordin in 2024. The hosts are a big part of the appeal, and the room has the relaxed feel of a neighbourhood favourite.

Drinks mix East and West without straying too far from the familiar. Long-standing favourites include the Sauerkrautini and One Night In Bangkok, while the 'Senses' menu, with a scratch-and-sniff design, encourages guests to use all five senses. Newer drinks have included the Lao Hao Beng, a twist on a Penang kopitiam nutmeg classic, a nitro espresso martini with mezcal and banana, Wasabi And Bread, and Los Santos, a palo santo tequila martini with passion fruit caviar on the side.

It opens from 5pm, making it an easy early-evening stop, and closes on Tuesdays. Well suited to couples and small groups.
