Opened in early 2017 and named after the cocktail created at the Aviary Bar of Kuala Lumpur's Hilton, JungleBird was the city's first dedicated rum bar. Palm-print wallpaper, bamboo accents and wicker armchairs set the tiki tone in its Plaza Damansara shophouse.
More than 100 rums line the back bar, and rum flights are a popular way in. The cocktail list mixes tiki classics with local twists: The Grass is Always Greener combines rhum agricole, pandan, kaffir lime, calamansi and egg white, while the Cendol Colada riffs on the Malaysian dessert. Bar snacks keep the late-night crowd going.
JungleBird was No.80 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 51–100 list in 2024 and is in Tatler's Best 20 Bars Malaysia 2026. It opens early afternoon at weekends and runs late, so it suits everything from a lazy Saturday session to a late finish.
