Whisper Cove hides behind a concealed door on the second floor of Maluku restaurant on Ubud's Monkey Forest Road. Inside it is moody and intimate, with vintage interiors, velvet accents, warm lighting and candlelit booths that feel a world away from the street below.
The bar specialises in signature cocktails built on house-made infusions using local ingredients. Recommended drinks include the floral Petal Elixir with jasmine and calendula, the Geisha (Roku gin, maraschino, white chocolate and a red wine float) and Tang Dynasti. The menu is presented so you flip through and pick, and bartenders are happy to steer you.
Bar bites lean Indonesian, such as taro and sweet potato chips with green sambal and smoky grilled skewers. Cocktails start from Rp 149,000++. Open daily from 6pm until late; reservations through Chope or the website.
