TELU is tucked into the gardens of Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, an open-air bar with native wood and colonial-inspired decor with Indonesian accents. The name is the Balinese word for three, representing the balance of nature, people and soul.
It was billed as Bali's first zero-waste bar: ingredients are grown in the resort's herb garden or sourced locally, and leftovers such as citrus peels are repurposed. The menu is split into three series of cocktails and mocktails, with proceeds supporting three local charities. Signatures include Down to Earth (gin, spirulina, matcha, passion fruit and coconut milk whey), Pasang Surut with snake fruit arak and kemangi, and a Subak Negroni with banana-skin and tomato-leaf vermouth.
Cocktail classes with foraged ingredients run by appointment, and guest distillers and bartenders appear monthly. Cocktails start from Rp 150,000++. Open Wednesday to Sunday, 5pm to midnight.
Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
