Night Rooster

Night Rooster is the cocktail bar from the team behind Locavore NXT, set on Ubud's Jalan Goutama eat street. It is a dark, intimate room with a long bar and leather banquettes, giving speakeasy vibes without the gimmicks.

The drinks put Bali's local botanicals centre stage. Head mixologist Raka and his team use foraged Indonesian ingredients, and the menu draws on local folktales, with whimsical elements such as mung bean and smouldering pine cone. Recipes change often as the team experiments, so repeat visits rarely look the same; recent favourites include Moonbeam Lover, Monkey Business and IQ Magic.

Bar snacks come from the Locavore kitchen and are served in small, fine-dining-quality portions, so it is worth eating as well as drinking. Cocktails start from Rp 125,000++. Open daily from 5pm, making it a natural pre- or post-dinner stop in central Ubud.
