Di Atas means 'upstairs' in Indonesian, and that is where you will find it: above Sangsaka, the acclaimed Indonesian restaurant on Jalan Raya Pangkung Sari at the Seminyak–Kerobokan border. The room is small and moody, with low lighting, dark sofas and shelves of earthenware.
Like its sister restaurant downstairs, Di Atas champions flavours from across the archipelago. The cocktail list is short and focused, with local ingredients spun into inventive takes on the classics: the Torch Ginger Martini, the Jaffa Negroni and the Di Atas Sour are the drinks to order.
Bar bites are a highlight too, especially the crispy prawn toast. Pair it with dinner at Sangsaka for one of the best food-and-drink evenings in Seminyak. Cocktails start from Rp 130,000++, and the bar opens daily from 5.30pm.
Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
