Montana is the joint venture of Lorenzo Antinori of Bar Leone and Simone Caporale of Barcelona's Sips, and opened on Hollywood Road in Soho in August 2025, one street from Bar Leone. It pays homage to the Club de los Cantineros, Cuba's historic bartenders' society, through the lens of a hedonistic 1970s Miami party: orange leather banquettes, dark green walls, a mezzanine and a soundtrack that bounces from Abba to Tito Puente. Staff in white shirts and drooping bow ties greet guests with shouts of 'ritmo!'.
The drinks are serious '70s and Cuban classics served with a sense of fun. The Montana Daiquiri follows a 1930 Cantineros recipe and comes in a flower-shaped green glass; El Presidente is aged in a dulce de leche-coated bottle; the Café Havana tops an espresso martini with banana cream; and the piña colada uses rotisserie-caramelised pineapple. Snacks include smoked-queso chips and dip with chorizo, Cubano sliders and Bar Leone's smoked olives.
Montana entered Asia's 50 Best Bars at No. 47 in 2026. There are no reservations; it opens Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm and Friday to Sunday from 5pm, and is closed on Mondays. Go early and come for a party.
Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
