Mius is the first solo bar from Hong Kong-born Shelley Tai, formerly of Quinary and later group operations director at Singapore's Nutmeg & Clove. It opened on Gough Street in NoHo in August 2025; the name is a play on 'muse'. A stainless-steel bar runs almost the length of the narrow room, with floor-to-ceiling walnut panelling, amber pendant lights and ivory leather stools, plus a second room with low tables.
The menu is deliberately tight: 12 cocktails, each with six ingredients or fewer, mostly classics with a light twist. Tai's own favourite is the ice-free Kobe-style highball of frozen whisky and chilled Japanese soda; others include a savoury Tomatotini, a strawberry and pink peppercorn Negroni, a Dirty Margarita with fennel pollen and olive, and the hot Matcha Mori. Comforting Cantonese-leaning small plates and a grower Champagne list round things out.
Mius debuted on Asia's 50 Best Bars at No. 36 in 2026, winning Best Bar Design, while Tai took the Bartenders' Bartender Award. It is walk-in only and opens daily from 5pm to 1am; expect a queue at peak times.
Bars tweak their hours and menus often, so it's worth a quick check before you head out.
