Bar Leone opened in mid-2023 on Bridges Street in Soho as the first solo venture of Lorenzo Antinori, who previously ran the bars at Charles H, Caprice and Argo. The room recreates a Roman neighbourhood bar, with framed football shirts on the walls and a soundtrack that swings between Italo disco and Pavarotti.
The guiding idea is 'cocktail popolari', cocktails for the people: fast, consistent and simple, built on familiar back-bar spirits with a lean towards Italian bottles. The pre-batched Leone Martini is poured straight into a chilled glass with a twist or smoked olive, and twists such as the Spring Break Manhattan use chamomile-infused vermouth. Some drinks are sold canned to take away, and the smoked olives and mortadella focaccia are essential.
Bar Leone topped Asia's 50 Best Bars in 2024 and 2025 and was named The World's Best Bar in 2025. Queues form early, so arrive soon after opening.
